Chez Dede

Via di Monserrato is one of Rome’s most beautiful and sophisticated streets. Made up of a few shops, several small art galleries, a couple restaurants and some splendid courtyards hidden behind palatial portones (those large wooden doors), it is worth a stroll. Among the window displays is Chez Dede, a shop that is a departure from standard Roman style and instead brings a French sophistication to the Regola district. Selling art books, scented candles, decorative objects, perfumes, and vintage clothing and furnishings, Chez Dede has upmarket prices that are more common for Milan, Paris and New York. However, this well curated space is a welcome addition to Rome’s design scene.
